A Guest Post

Man, I am sooo tired. Long bike rides in the sun, walks on the beech, and tonight I'm babysitting. So....my son has graciously allowed me to steal a post from his blog. (Oh, he doesn't know I stole it, so let's just keep that part of it quiet between the two of us, OK?)

So....without further ado, here's Sam....

Look at what I found in our condo! Isn't it cool? A Beetle!

But THIS is WAY better!

A giant horseshoe crab!

The beetle's backThe horseshoe crab's back

The beetle's stomach...The horseshoe crab's stomach...

This is how big the beetle is. It's laying next to my pinkie.

This is how big the horseshoe crab is.....

I'm lying next to it and I'm 5 foot 1 inch. Which one do you think is better?

Mom? Which one can I take home?

OMG what a big horseshoe crab. If the crab is alive leave it where it was. If the crab is dead well beware they really stink if you don't remove the innards before they rot out. The beetle is much less work. It isn't as interesting. You can probably find that beetle at your house.

I vote the beetle and I know how to mount it. Put it in a baggie with a cotton ball soaked in mouth wash. It will soften right up and you can pin it to a piece of blotter paper and display it. Wait a minute. I am pretty sure you probable know everything I just said. Sounds like a nice trip.

We missed you guys today. I kept thinking something/someone was missing, then I remembered you guys were gone...BOO-HOO!

To answer your question, I've seen the Nancy Drew movie like a thousand times and I've seen the Enchanted movie once. Yeah, big diffrence, I know. I'm wanting to see Enchanted again soon though!

Cute post - creative idea. Get some rest and come home with the same number of creatures you had when you embarked on this journey!

I give them credit for exploring, as long as they keep the stuff outside. :o)
